Taikoo Place Street Party

image_4

Last night I attended the VIP launch of the Taikoo Place brand. Held at Taikoo Place, the launch party took a decisively scientific turn with hosts wearing white lab coats while offering experimental food and drinks. Moet freely flowed throughout the night, and some of the more unusual treats included ham and cheese flavoured icecream, tequila flavoured beer and mustard and ketchup flavoured popcorn. If this is just the launch party, I’m defiinitely interested to see whats next in store for Taikoo Place!

Last week I attended Konzepp x FACA collaboration launch party at Konzepp’s K11 store. Konzepp and shirt and accessories label FACA have collaborated to create 20 limited edition snow stingray bracelets. You can read more about the bracelets on my Konzepp blog post here, but here are some shots I took at the event.

The Hub Hong Kong

DSC01208

A couple of weeks ago I visited the Hub Hong Kong, Hong Kong’s leading fashion trade show. It was great to speak to some of the designers and brands there, from Chinese designers looking for overseas buyers to English brands looking to enter the Asian market. Spread across three floors of an industrial space in Lai Chi Kok, the trade show ran for two days and this year marks the fourth edition of the invite-only show.

Trend and Chinese fashion presentation at LASALLE Singapore

2015/01/img_2618.jpg

This week I visited Singapore’s leading fashion and design university LASALLE and gave two different presentations and workshops. I talked about the world of trend forecasting and making trend reports, as well as traditional to modern Chinese fashion identities with a focus on 1930s Shanghai.
