Sex and the City: 10 Years On
10 years ago this year, the legendary and iconic show Sex and the City came to a tear-jerking finale. To honor this anniversary I watched all six seasons – 94 episodes and over 24 hours of the glamorous, witty and provocative show and chose a selection of my favorite Carrie Bradshaw outfits.
1. The fur coat which Carrie pairs with everything during the earlier seasons and makes a poignant comeback in the season finale scene.
2. Classic John Galliano for Christian Dior newspaper-print dress – apt attire for a newspaper columnist.
3. Oversized, multi-coloured slightly bonkers Chanel print top paired with this cute headscarf
4. Boho-cowgirl-chic meets the Hamptons pool party scene
5. Satin and silk slips. Throughout season 1 and 2 Carrie sports an array of this slinky 90s grunge feel dresses.

Barneys New York has just unveiled its Holiday campaign. A collaboration with the Walt Disney Company, ‘Electric Holiday’ stars many recognisable front row fashionista in a delightful and witty animation. Disney characters model designs from Alber Elbaz and Nicholas Ghesquière, have hair & makeup by Pat McGrath, Guido Palau and Julien d’Ys and are photographed by Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti and Juergen Teller. The front row is full of fashion media ledgends including Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Cathy Horyn, Glenda Bailey, Bridget Foley, Emmanuelle Alt, Suzy Menkes and Franca Sozzani. KCD’s Ed Filipowski produces the fashion show and guests include Daphne Guinness, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Bryan Boy.

Fashion in Film: Miss Piggy in The Muppets (2011) ~ 时装的电影：The Muppets的小猪小姐
After a 12 year hiatus, Miss Piggy returns to our screens in style. Miss Piggy is now the plus-size editor of Vogue Paris, with the stunning Emily Blunt as her fashion assistant (playing a similar character to her Devil Wears Prada role). Not only extremely easy to watch and humorous, The Muppets brings back to our screens the well-loved fashionista Miss Piggy. See her in her Conde Nast office in this clip:

Fashion in Film: Out of Africa (1985) ~ 时尚的电影：走出非洲 （1985年）
Starring Meryl Streep playing Karen Blixen, and her love interest Robert Redford as Denys Finch Hatton, the highly acclaimed film ‘Out of Africa’ (1985) is a tale of romance and hardship set in stunning African landscapes. Based upon the autobiographical book written by Isak Dineson (Karen Blixen’s pen name), the story begins in 1913 Denmark and covers Karen’s love affairs in and with Africa. Collecting 28 film awards including 7 Academy Awards and a nomination for Costume Design, ‘Out of Africa’ is a moving tale of the powerful bond between one woman and Africa and her thirst for adventure.
