A Neo-Gothic architectural masterpiece the Tribune Tower in Chicago is currently home to the Chicago Tribune Newspaper. Finished in 1925, designed by Howells & Hood Architects, the base of the tower incorporates design details from some of the world’s most famous landmarks. Robert ‘Colonel’ McCormick, the owner and publisher of the Chicago Tribune, asked reporters to bring back souvenirs from their trips before the Tribune Tower was completed. Now we can see details from the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and an ancient temple in Hunan.
