The retail sector is one of the UK’s largest employers with approximately 3 million people working in retail in 2011 and in an increasingly globalised economy customers are demanding an increasingly personalised experience. Thus Shop Girl magazine was created to address the significant lack of fashion and lifestyle media tailored specifically for people working in retail.

Electric Holiday ~ 电节日
Barneys New York has just unveiled its Holiday campaign. A collaboration with the Walt Disney Company, ‘Electric Holiday’ stars many recognisable front row fashionista in a delightful and witty animation. Disney characters model designs from Alber Elbaz and Nicholas Ghesquière, have hair & makeup by Pat McGrath, Guido Palau and Julien d’Ys and are photographed by Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti and Juergen Teller. The front row is full of fashion media ledgends including Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Cathy Horyn, Glenda Bailey, Bridget Foley, Emmanuelle Alt, Suzy Menkes and Franca Sozzani. KCD’s Ed Filipowski produces the fashion show and guests include Daphne Guinness, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Bryan Boy.
